What is your area of expertise?
I handle customer inquiries and support, making me one of the first points of contact for our customers. I also keep the technical documentation of our customers’ products up to date and ensure that inquiries are processed promptly.
How did you come to join EUMEDIQ?
Quite classic, really 😀 Mike and I met a few years ago at Medela. He responded to my “Open to work” badge on LinkedIn and reached out to me. The very next day, we had a conversation, and now I’m part of EUMEDIQ as a Regulatory Affairs Manager. Besides that, I’m also a driving instructor at my father’s driving school.
How do Regulatory Affairs in MedTech and a driving school fit together?
I completed my training as a businesswoman and then stayed in quality management. For several years, I worked in the vigilance area. My father has had the driving school for over 20 years, so I trained as a driving instructor and have been accompanying learner drivers on their way to getting their driving licenses ever since.
And you took your final exam with your father…?
Exactly! I had to drive on a Sunday and face his zero-tolerance policy. Everything went well – luckily!
How would your team colleagues describe you in three words?
Helpful, positive, quick-witted.
When do you come up with the best ideas in your daily work? When do you perform at your best?
When I can work things out step by step on my own. Not thinking about a problem forever, but starting and working out partial solutions piece by piece until I get to the big picture.
EUMEDIQ is a provider of regulatory services. What do you have a particularly keen eye for?
I’m completely different in private than at work, where I look at every single document very closely or observe every movement of my learner drivers. Otherwise, I’m a totally spontaneous person who can let things slide.
What would you have liked to do if you hadn’t ended up in Regulatory Affairs?
I always wanted to be a psychologist. I’m convinced that I can continue to educate myself in this field and make a meaningful contribution.
