What is your area of expertise?
I’m an expert in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management. At EUMEDIQ, I review technical documentation, provide feedback where improvements are needed, and uncover regulatory issues. For example, references to documentation are often incorrect, or there are errors in file names and revisions.
Why are technical documents needed, and why do they have to be 100% accurate and precise?
There are two main benefits: Firstly, they serve as proof of product compliance to authorities and notified bodies. And, of course, they ensure traceability of requirements for better product development within the manufacturer company.
How would your team colleagues describe you in three words?
Calm, patient, and precise. Tasks never get lost with me. They might get postponed or priorities might change, but they never get forgotten.
In which area of your daily work do you come up with the best ideas? When do you perform at your best?
Generally in the areas of quality management and regulatory, because I’m always involved in them. I did an internship during my studies in this field and kind of fell into it. I first studied Medical Engineering because I wasn’t sure where my journey would take me, then did a Master’s in Quality Management.
EUMEDIQ is a provider of Regulatory Services. What do you have a particularly keen eye for?
I’m generally a very meticulous person. I’m very precise at work, my desk is always tidy, and even my Outlook inbox is organized. 😀
Your photo on the team website shows you in hiking boots with a huge backpack – tell us more about that!
I love hiking, for example on the Alpstock. Otherwise, I also enjoy playing chess and spending time with my family and in the garden.
What would you have liked to do if you hadn’t become a Regulatory Affairs Manager?
When I was a child and later a teenager, I always wanted to be a doctor. I spent a lot of time in practices and hospital environments during my training, which sparked my interest in medical technology. I’m fascinated by the combination of engineering and medicine.
Please finish the sentence: For me, the perfect end of a day is when…
… I have completed all open customer inquiries with the feeling of having the manufacturer’s trust on my side and providing them with perfectly meticulous documentation.
